First Susan Hill book. Which is a shame as I would think twice before trying another of her novels. Did Matt Addis do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How? It was a good narration, despite the shortcomings of the plot itself. Do you think Mist in the .   The Mist in the Mirror presents itself as a suspense/edge of your seat type of book, however; the writing entirely kills the suspense. The Mirror is a horror novel by Marlys Millhiser about unwilling time-travel involving an evil antique mirror with unclear glass. This was Millhiser's most popular novel, of her fourteen novels published. The historical Arnett-Fullen House in Boulder, Colorado was referenced as a model of a "gingerbread house" in the book.. Plot synopsis.   The Mist in the Mirror is a story within a story: it’s a manuscript passed on by a soon-to-be-dead man, Sir James Monmouth, to a younger man at his gentlemen’s club. Monmouth spent his childhood abroad, and in the absence of family and career has nothing better to do than return to England to trace a mysterious explorer named Conrad Vane.

The chill mist, the aroma of the chestnut braziers, “the tall stuccoed buildings loomed black-eyed” above them. It is a London of narrow and winding streets, silent streets where shadows roam and where you would not want to linger under a lampost for long. Follow/Fav Mirrored Mist. By: Starchains. He turned the mirror around so that Harry could see his own reflection. Harry laughed. The boy had almost managed to tame his hair. Most of it lay flat, there was only a tuft on the back of his head that refused to behave. It looked like the other boy's hair now.
